Traffic Operation - Today (29/07/26) - Clarke Way, Hyde

Hi Resident,

Earlier today, the Hyde Godley Team assisted by Traffic officers conducted a traffic operation on Clarke Way, Hyde.

In a 2 hour period 28 vehicles were stopped.

x1 vehicle was stopped and found to have no insurance and was towed away

x2 vehicles were stopped for driver or passenger not wearing seats belts

x3 mopeds were stopped for not displaying front L plates

x14 vehicles were stopped for displaying illegal registration plates not confirming with DVLA rules

Vehicle Defect Rectification Scheme (VDRS) tickets and Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) were issued to offending drivers. 

The other vehicles stopped were for general checks and words of advice. We will continue to conduct traffic operation ins the area at different locations.
